Exterior Detailing

Basic Boat Wash

Our basic wash keeps your boat clean, fresh, and ready to use:

  • Top-to-bottom scrub and rinse using high-quality, marine-safe products

  • Cleaning of all windows and isinglass

  • Seats cleaned, lifted, and wiped underneath

  • Removal of minor rust and mildew stains

  • Final dry and wipe-down (covered if needed)

 

Detailed Boat Wash (Add-On Services)

Everything in the Basic Wash, plus a deeper clean and finish:

  • Removal of heavier rust and mildew staining

  • Deep cleaning and treatment of vinyl seats

  • Upholstery and canvas cleaning

  • Interior compartments emptied, cleaned, and re-organized

  • UV protection​

  • Wash dinghies and tenders

  • Plastic window cleaning and polishing

Recurring Boat Wash Program

We offer special prices for recurring boat washes, available weekly, bi-weekly, every three weeks, or monthly.​ Recurring washes are the best way to keep your boat looking great year-round—so it’s always clean and ready when you are.​​​

Waxing and Gel Coat Preservation

Proper gelcoat maintenance is essential for protecting your boat’s finish and preserving its long-term value. At Decks Awash, we provide expert boat polishing and gelcoat restoration services tailored to the specific condition of your vessel. Whether your boat requires preventative waxing, light oxidation removal, or full multi-stage correction, our three-level system is designed to restore depth, clarity, and long-lasting protection — keeping your vessel marina-ready and investment-protected year-round.

Option 1: Hand Waxing & Sealing

For Boats with No Oxidation

Best for:

  • New boats

  • Recently polished vessels

  • Well-maintained gelcoat with strong gloss

This service includes a thorough, detailed wash followed by hand application of a premium marine wax or sealant.

Benefits:
✔ Adds UV protection
✔ Enhances shine
✔ Seals healthy gelcoat
✔ Makes seasonal cleaning easier

This is a maintenance-level protection service and does not remove oxidation.

Option 2: Two-Step Light Correction (Compound + Wax)

For Boats with Light Oxidation

Best for:

  • Light fading

  • Minor dullness

  • Early-stage oxidation

Step 1 –  Machine Polish with One-Step Compound

We use a professional one-step compound to remove light oxidation while refining the surface.

Step 2 –  Wax Protection

We apply a dedicated marine wax to seal and protect the restored gelcoat.

Benefits:

✔ Removes light oxidation

✔ Restores gloss and clarity

✔ Provides seasonal protection

✔ Improves overall depth and reflection

This is the most common service for boats exposed to BC’s saltwater environment.

For full Gelcoat Restoration

Best for:

  • Heavy oxidation

  • Chalky or faded surfaces

  • Long-term neglect

  • Pre-sale restoration

Step 1 – Cutting Compound
Removes heavy oxidation and levels damaged gelcoat.

Step 2 – Machine Polish
Refines the surface and restores clarity and gloss.

Step 3 – Wax Sealant
Applies protective wax to lock in shine and protect against UV and salt.

Benefits:
✔ Removes deep oxidation
✔ Restores original color depth
✔ Brings back high-gloss finish
✔ Extends gelcoat lifespan
